Reactive Network is an automation layer for the blockchain ecosystem. Unlike traditional smart contracts, which are passive and must be triggered by a user, Reactive Smart Contracts (RSCs) can subscribe to data streams and execute logic autonomously. For example, an RSC can detect a liquidation event on Ethereum and automatically move collateral on Polygon to cover the position. This infrastructure is built on ReactVM, a high-performance execution environment that maintains compatibility with EVM standards.

The project has transitioned from a data indexing service (PARSIQ) to a fully decentralized execution network:

PRQ to REACT Migration (May 2025): The ecosystem successfully executed a hard migration from the legacy PRQ token to REACT. This transition consolidated the tokenomics, moving from a SaaS-style payment token to a native Layer 1 gas and staking asset. The swap ratio was fixed at 1:1.

Reactive Mainnet Launch: Following its testnet phase, the Reactive Network Mainnet went live in 2025. This launch enabled the deployment of live RSCs that interact with major chains including Ethereum, Avalanche, and BNB Chain.

ReactVM Optimization: The network deployed updates to ReactVM to support Parallel Transaction Execution. This feature allows independent RSCs to run simultaneously, preventing network congestion during high-traffic events.

The REACT token functions as the economic fuel for autonomous on-chain actions:

Reactive Gas (rGas): Users and developers pay REACT to fund the execution of Reactive Smart Contracts. Since RSCs run continuously (monitoring for events), they consume gas based on their computational complexity and frequency of triggers.

Validator Staking: Network validators stake REACT to secure the consensus layer. Malicious behavior, such as falsifying cross-chain event data, results in the slashing of staked assets.

Governance: REACT holders vote on protocol upgrades, supported chain integrations, and changes to the gas fee schedule.
