MATIC → POL Migration on Coinmetro

We’re finalizing Polygon’s upgrade from MATIC to POL on Coinmetro. This simplifies operations and aligns with the network’s token transition.
- Oct 3 — Announcement (email, in‑app, blog, status).
- Oct 9, 12:00 UTC — Freeze & force‑close MATIC: trading, margin, staking, deposits and withdrawals disabled. Snapshot taken.
- Oct 9, 13:00 UTC — Automatic MATIC → POL conversion (target 1:1, rounded to POL decimals). POL deposits/withdrawals re‑enabled after checks.
- Delisting MATIC on Coinmetro; balances will be automatically converted to POL.
- No action required for the conversion; no conversion fees.
- POL trading and transfers resume once reconciliation and liquidity checks pass (may start post‑only).
- By Oct 9, 12:00 UTC: Close MATIC Spot and Margin positions and end MATIC staking plans. After the deadline, we will force‑close remaining exposure and include it in the conversion snapshot.
- Do not deposit MATIC after Oct 9, 12:00 UTC; such deposits won’t be credited.
- Polygon’s public materials indicate no network‑wide deadline yet for MATIC holders on Ethereum/zkEVM; a community decision may set one later. Our Coinmetro migration timeline above still applies.
- XCM rewards in MATIC are discontinued as part of the delisting.
- Balances shown as POL; deposits/withdrawals on supported networks reopen once validations pass.
- We’ll publish a short completion update around ~13:30 UTC with liquidity status.
